Hello Ladies!

Can you believe it??…Summer is finally here!!

And if you’re like me, you are looking to add some super cheap, but trendy plus size clothes to your fashionable summer wardrobe! I have to admit I rarely ever pay full price for anything and clothes are no exception.

As I’ve said before, I am an avid online shopper; however, whether I shop in-store or online I look for the best deals I can find. (You can generally find me near the clearance racks, lol!)

For those of you that are new to the frugality game, I have plenty of experience to help you in that department. And even if you’re not a new budget shopper, I’m sure that you will find something valuable in what I share with you today!

So, without further ado…Here’s my list!!

The 5 Best Options for Cheap, Trendy Plus Size Fashion Online:

(Psst: Click Here for even MORE Shops that won’t break the bank!)

1.  599Fashion.com.

These guys are pretty amazing. A young girl friend of mine (yes, she’s plus-size, too!)I stumbled upon them about 3 years ago and knowing that I had just previously introduced her to the online plus-size world with Avenue and Lane Bryant, she knew that she had to share this site with me.

When she shared it, she and I both realized that I had created a Frugal Monster in her because before me, she shopped full-price and I DO MEAN FULL PRICE!

Anyway, when I checked them out, I couldn’t believe my eyes…To be quite honest, I was very skeptical at first…I mean, how can they sell clothes that cheap??!!

So, to make a long story shorter, we took the plunge and made a small order with them and were not disappointed, to say the least! They are not a predominant plus size shop, but they do have a plus size department. The majority are tops; however they do have a few dresses and skirts.

2.   10DollarMall.com.

10 Dolla rMall Logo

Another amazing shop! I actually found them quite recently and just made an order with them. I used the Shopping Cart Game and I have to say it was quite effective…

After about 3 days of tweaking my cart (putting items in and taking items out); I got an email offering a 10% off code for my entire order if I go back to my cart and place an order and mind you nothing on their site is over $9.99.

The majority of my cart had clearance priced items of $7.99 (I told you I was a clearance rack girl…even in the $10 store, lol!!). Plus, since I am a new customer I also got 20% off shipping.

SO, to say the least, I was Your Happy-GO-Lucky Plus Size Fashion Queen that day!! ( I know you are laughing out loud at me, but hopefully enjoying these stories at my expense!).

To have you understand more fully my experience in frugality: This cart had 15 items in it which included 3 pairs of jeans, a pair of sneakers, 5 tops, a cardigan, a dress, 2 watches, a pair of leggings, and a pair of earrings. And the total price including tax and shipping was only $120. Can you believe that??!!!

10 Dollar Mall Plus Model

This store is actually based out of California as is the 599fashion; however, this store has a much broader range of plus size clothing.

3.   Moddeals.com.Moddeals Cheap Made Chic Banner

This shop is also out of California with a plus-size department similar to 10DollarMall offering a wide range of tops, jeans, capris, shorts, dresses, leggings and jeggings. Their average price is also $10 and they have a huge plus-size clearance section with prices as low as $7.50.

Their mission is to WOW their customers by providing unbeatable prices, great fashion, an easy shopping experience, and customer service that goes the extra mile.

4.  BCOutlet.com.

This  Online Bargain Catalog Outlet  carries both Men’s Big and Tall and Women’s Plus Size Clothing. They are now offering clearance on all your Summer essentials with starting prices ranging from $5.99 to $9.99 which includes swimwear, tops and tees, capris, and sandals. This is a full range outlet that carries all your fashion needs.

There is also a 9.99 and Under department that includes lingerie, underwear and bras that are all up to 80% off retail prices. Some bras are as low as $4.99. They also offer a Recently Reduced department  as well as one that I’ve never seen before online:

An  Outlet Exclusives with “less than perfect” (irregular) items as low as $4.00.

They even offer shoes with sizes up to 12WW. Sign up for emails from them and receive a $10 off coupon in your inbox. This site is amazing and literally has it all!

5.   RainbowShops.com

This is a shop that has been around for many years. In fact, it was founded in 1935 and is headquartered in NYC. I’ve shopped one of their neighborhood stores in Atlanta, Ga. many times over the years for good quality affordable clothes for my children when they were growing up as well as for myself.

I just came across their online shop quite recently for the first time. So, I have never shopped with them online as I never even realized that they were online.

They offer Juniors, Plus Size, and Children’s clothing. In Plus Size, they have beautiful dresses and jumpsuits as well as jeans, tops, pants, shorts, etc.

Their average price is around $20; however, they usually have clearance items on sale for up to 60% off.

The Classic Plus Size Boutiques Clearance

Lane Bryant, Avenue, Torrid, Catherine’s, Fashion To Figure, Ashley Stewart, etc. also offer traditional Clearance Sections where you can find some great buys as well!

As I said before, I am an avid but frugal online shopper, so I utilize any and all discounts, coupons, etc. to ensure that I never pay full price for anything and I am here to make sure that YOU never have to pay full-price EVER again!!

Over the years I have shopped online for almost anything you could think of; however, being the mature 49 year old plus-size gal that I am you might imagine one of my main passions would be shopping for fashionable clothing and accessories that accentuates my voluptuous curves. Along the way, I have gained a great deal of valuable experience in finding just the right sites for the styles that we, as plus-size women, deserve! Come, take this journey with me into this wonderful world of online plus size fashion!!

  1. […] that I will be posting on plus size clothing and accessories that I recently purchased from 10DollarMall.com. For a full gallery of most of the outfits purchased, visit My Plus Size Fashion Haul Photo […]

  2. The prices sound amazing at all of these places, what a great idea to put them all together so others can enjoy the savings too. However, sometimes I’m afraid to buy cheap as I fear there will be a lack of quality. Did the items you buy seem to be of good quality?

I love articles like this! Short, sweet, and too the point!
The links for the websites you provided have very nice clothing.
I like your copy and style of writing.
You also managed to use emphasis in the best places. You used bold lettering and coloring in the perfect places.

      Roxana,

  4. Hi Jenny Nadine
You are a gal after my own heart! Not only do we share the joys (yes!) and sorrows (sometimes!) of being plus-size, deliciously curvy women, we are both bargain hunters! Not that I haven’t occasionally splashed out and bought something full-price, but inevitably, the minute I get it home – it looks really horrible! I wonder, sometimes. if the mirrors in boutiques and women’s stores are ‘rigged’ somehow? Are they those specially curved ones that make us look thinner? 🙂
I love this site and even tho’ I’m from Australia and would probably find your bargains a little more than expected due to shipping costs, you have inspired me to try the online bargain shops in Australia. I’m sure there are some!
Also – I am wondering – why don’t the big brand names make their clothing just a couple of sizes bigger? I am borderline obese (embarrassed face) but I still have a ‘figure’ which I hate covering up with huge flowing tops. I still look pretty neat in a fitted suit – but to find one in my size is almost impossible! If only the women’s designers would realise that there are a darn lot of us women who are NOT size 8, 10 or even 12, 14 or 16 – who need quality, fitted, attractive garments in our size?
I hope you do really well with this website and I’ll be back for more!
    Cheers
    Ellie from WA!

      Hello Ellie D,

I am so happy to hear from you!! It really does seem like we have a lot in common. I could definitely be of help to you. Without knowing your size, I am a 22/24 and in some clothes that run smaller a 26/28 and I have always been partial to Lane Bryant and Avenue, but since this quest I have found so many new and wonderful plus size sites and I just love sharing them with others like yourself!!

As a matter of fact, Torrid and Catherine’s have sizes up to 30 and 38, respectively! And, I have actually came across some in Australia as well. One in particular, http://www.stylishplus.com.au/ has sizes up to 36 and seem to have some nice styles!! If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to call on me here or on any of my SM pages that I have posted on the site, I’d be glad to hear from you anytime!!

Thanks a million for taking the time to offer your comments and experiences!!

      Jenny Nadine 😉

Sadly 10dollarmall.com no longer exists and what was left in its place ‘http://www.clothingunder10.com/index.asp’ is horrible. They have so few plus size clothes I couldn’t find anything above a 1x. BCOutlet I found plus size clothes but nothing I would wear, with their high wasted knit pull on pants like the fifteen pair I pulled out of my grandma’s closet. Their shoe selection was comparable to the local thrift store which were having problems selling them ugly things for $1 a pair. Rainbowshops.com is impressive. So thank you for that one. I’m still looking to my $10mall.com equivalent. I honestly can’t afford $20 for a pair of pants. shopmissa.com is more my speed, but I can’t show up for work in a bracelet.

    • Hi Mandy,
Wow! I did not realize that 10dollarMall was gone, been a few months since I’ve checked on them. That is very sad, thanks for updating us! I will need to update this article!
We have a few new affordable affiliate sites that you may be interested in…one is called Styles For Less which are currently having a Friends & Family 20% off Sitewide Sale until the 19th. Check them out and tell me what you think!!
Glad you liked Rainbow Shops, they are awesome!
Keep checking back for more! I will give you a heads up when this article has been updated. Plan to add more sites to it as well.
      Thanks again, Mandy!
